Our founder, Umar ElBably, tells the story of POWER through imagery. Umar grew up a misfit, and always felt he had to navigate traditional power dynamic cultural norms that didn’t feel natural to him. This included not finding interest in stereotypical sports, feeling awkward in “the boys group”, and being encouraged to be the “man” in the family. Instead, he found strength in vulnerability, and the most empowered when he felt he could be his whole self. The POWER photographic concepts are a clash of fragility in color, and a power-hungry and uniform work environment that many executives endure.
